Astronomer Elizabeth Roemer (1929- ) won the 1946 Science Talent Search and went on to discover the asteroids 1930 Lucifer (discovered October 29, 1964) and 1983 Bok (discovered June 9, 1975). Dr. Roemer is Professor Emerita, Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, University of Arizona.
