Notes from original housing: "1990 interview with Herizon founder Peg Johnston, who along with founders Laurie Ryan and Claudia Stallman (and the pyramid of early Herizon members and Herizon Board members) collaboratively created the Herizon Women's Social Club in Binghamton, NY. From day one, Peg Johnston was pivotal and essential to the organization and she made the purchase of 213 State Street possible through her financial support and visionary leadership." The collection is open for research use. Researchers must handle unprotected photographs with gloves. Researchers must use reference copies of audio-visual materials. When no reference copy exists, the Archives Center staff will produce reference copies on an "as needed" basis, as resources allow. Do not use original materials when available on reference video or audio tapes.
