Making History Network

The Making History Network is the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum’s national network of volunteers. Currently organized across two categories, State Committees and State Ambassadors, members share passion for the museum and are committed to supporting its long-term success. Volunteers inspire philanthropic support, strengthen the museum’s presence regionally, and create connections with volunteer leaders nationally.

Members host and support events that showcase the museum in their communities and advance the museum’s fundraising priorities. The Network also supports national outreach on behalf of the museum’s Communications and Digital Strategy teams by providing the framework for nationwide community and volunteer engagement.
