Description
This Workmen’s Compensation Issue stamp commemorates the 50th anniversary of the first successful Workmen’s Compensation Law, enacted by the Wisconsin legislature. It is a form of insurance that deals with the right of working people to receive compensation for personal injury while on the job. It was upheld by the Supreme Court.
