Meet a costumed actor and explore the way Lucy Caldwell and her neighbors helped end slavery while working within the limits of the “women’s sphere”. The 20-minute interactive play transports participants to 1840 where they participate in the first meeting of the Ipswich Female Anti-Slavery Society. Exploring the intersection of civic activism and religious inspiration, this program encourages visitors to consider what they would be willing to do to make a positive change in society.

Showtimes:
Tuesday and Thursday at 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm.

Please note:
Shows subject to actor availability; last minute cancellations may occur.
