Scope and Content Note

Consists of the published versions and unpublished manuscripts of Floyd Levin's writings on jazz and jazz musicians. Most prominently represented within this series are Levin's many newspaper articles on the subject, as well as book reviews, record reviews, festival, concert, and jazz party reviews. Also found within this series is a published copy and unpublished manuscript of his book, Classic Jazz: A Personal View of the Music and the Musicians, University of California Press, Ltd., 2000.
